Chapter 5: Confirmation 


I picked up Peter’s call and say I am okay but cut off by my sneezes, and Peter asked me, “are you okay?”
I replied, “I’m okay.” Thanks!
Peter continued, “you are better going to take a warm water then go to sleep, okay?”
I have never expected that Peter would say these things to me, so now I am like walking on the moon. I confirmed with “yes”
We hang up and I went to take a hot water but interrupting by my phone rang and when I see the screen is Stefan.
Hi Stefan! I answered the phone.
Where are you? Stefan asked with an angry sound.
I am at home. I replied him without knowing that I made a mistake.
Okay. He takes a deep breath then he hanged up the phone. 
Today I can study with Peter and I feel very good with excitement to meet him soon. 
I am choosing the same seat to make sure Peter is sitting in front of me but while I am waiting for the class to start, I didn’t see Peter show up. Only 5 more minutes the class will begin and immediately, Stefan takes Peter’s seat and he turns to me with an unfamiliar face expression which I cannot understand. 
Hey, why are you sitting here, I asked? 
I want, he replied.
I didn’t continue talking to him but I see Peter is walking to me but he stopped by the blank seat at the 3rd row at the right which I am at the 4th row at left. 
Today lecturer is busy so we left class early. I didn’t go home as I want to sit at the bench under the big tree to work on my lecturer recorded for the 2nd session and I saw Peter walked toward me with the same girl. If you see my face now is totally pale like a ghost. 
Can I sit here? Peter asked.
Of course. I replied.
Can I sit too? That girl asked me.
Yes, of course, please! 
Peter introduced her to me;
Hi May! Here is Zoey. She is my girlfriend.
Zoey! She is May. She is my friend. Last night I was busy helping her as she is scared of the lightning like you. 
Hi May! Nice to meet you. Zoey looked at me and spoke very soft voice with smiling. 
Yes, nice to meet you. I replied her with trembling sound. Actually, I don’t like this side of me as it shows all what I am thinking and it embarrassed me. 
I took of my ear phone and stand up then I talk to them. Sorry Peter and Zoey! I have to go home now because I have to go shopping with my sister tonight. 
They both answered the same time. 
Yes, see you later. They replied.
I walk away with my tear is falling and my heart is very aches. I put on my ear phone and listen to my lecturer recorded. I called Stefan and asked him to pick me up in front of Brown. 15 minutes has gone and Stefan is in front of me. I didn’t say anything and it seems Stefan knows so he just said, come and put the helmet on. I took off my glasses and swept my tear with knocked my head as a yes.
Stefan rides me along the way to my house and he said, I was at school yesterday but I didn’t see you. 
I stop sad at this moment when I heard the word came out from Stefan’s mouth.
I am so sorry, Stefan! I forgot about this.
It’s okay unless you are safe. He continued. 
Peter took me home. I added.
I knew, Peter replied with a sad sound and he continued, don’t worry about anything when you arrived home you can cry louder and then sleep. I’ll help with assignment then tomorrow you have to go to work and think about your eyes if you cry too much then your eyes will be swallowing and you would look like a penda. 
Thanks for always with me, Stefan.
It’s okay as I have only you as a friend. He exclaimed.
I am home and I just took off the helmet and walked into my house without looking back to Stefan.
